The Guild was first established just after World War II by a small group of ladies who wanted to get together to knit, spin and socialise.
The Guild is situated in Alexander Craft House and is a non-commercial organisation aiming to bring together men and women who practice the arts of handweaving, spinning and dyeing, and to advance these arts by discussion and exhibition of work.
From February to November, Alexander Park Craft House is open for Guild activities, 10am until 3pm, on the following days:
2nd Saturdays for general meeting and speaker;
4th Saturdays for spinning;
2nd & 4th Tuesdays for weaving;
1st Thursdays for kumihimo (braiding);
and other days as needed, announced in the YarnSpinner and online.
