Every year across the globe teams compete against each other to see who is the fastest at taking the fleece from the sheep’s back to the shearers back. This event requires a blade shearer and a team of knitters and spinners to take shear the sheep, spin the wool and knit a jumper as fast as possible.
The event was held in Toodyay at the Racecourse and the event was celebrated with a Fibre Festival on the 31st of May. Like last year the Toodyay Spinners did Western Australia proud with an improved time of 8 hours, 49 minutes and 45 seconds.
